What Is Multiplicity?
In short, multiplicity is the state of having multiple people in one brain.That might sound crazy! It's a very odd experience, I can tell you that. Whether you're skeptical, or just curious, I've amassed some links here.
Terms
Plural: Synonym for multiple.
Median: Someone whose system is made up of facets.
Singlet: Someone who is not multiple.
System: A set of people that share one body.
Headmate: Another person in the same system.
Fragment: An entity that is less than a full headmate, for one reason or another. This does not mean their feelings do not matter. Not to be confused with a...
Facet: Facets are system members that share a significant part of themselves with other members of the system - not entirely separate, nor just one person, like a venn diagram.
Fronting: Being in control of the body.
Co-fronting:
Frontrunner: Someone who fronts regularly.
Switching: Changing who's fronting.

Ve: A disambiguation of "we" that specifically does not include the listener. In the context of plurality, it refers to the speaker's system.
Headspace
A headspace is a space inside your head; some consistent place you imagine. These are frequent in plural systems, but by no means exclusive; they're just more common because they have several significant uses for us that just don't apply to others.If you're curious, there are plenty of guides for both multiple and non-multiple folks looking to create and explore headspaces! It's a unique experience of introspection and creativity, and can be surprisingly useful sometimes. Anyone without aphantasia can do it!Our headspace in particular is an old house, high up on a snowy mountain. (This is where our name comes from!) We've been working on a model of it, and pictures of that will appear here when it's done.
How We Operate
Many systems operate on different "rules," and ve're lucky to have gotten particularly convenient ones.Ve share memories and skills, and are capable of direct communication when multiple of us are "awake." Assume anything you say to any of us is something ve will all eventually hear, but please don't just treat us like the same person.Ve share responsibility, as well - if one of us has promised something, and isn't the one fronting at the time, whoever is will probably do their best to fulfill that promise anyways, and if you have a problem with one of us, it's the others' problem, too.Ve're capable of switching with anyone who's conscious with very little effort, so if you want to talk to a particular one of us, just ask. If they're not around, there's not much ve can do about it, though.
